Boulter 50/70 econ oil boiler

The burner goes to lock out when the front cover is on but runs ok when its removed
I have had a service company out to it and they say it has happened on other burners he has adjusted the air but this has not resolved the problem.

Can it be fixed if so at what cost.

Can you tell us about the flue condition, especially how clean it is? Are there any obstructions near the outlet terminal?

It will be the flue seals that are sh@@@ged.

Are there any sooty marks inside the casing,

The regulations about who can work on oil boilers are not as stringent as with gas.

However, the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning are just as real!

It will be the flue seals on the Balanced flue, thee are taperd jointsd on a Camray 3 - your Engineer should know all of this it is very routine - I would ditch hime or her for one that actually knows about oil boilers!!
