We moved into a semi 6 months ago, which has an extension with a boundary wall up to the neighbours property (see pic). Doing some work on our roof i noticed he has lots of junk piled against the wall and has attached a lean-to and gates to the wall at some point in the past. I'm worried about damage to the wall through damp. Am I within my rights to ask him to move the junk, lean-to and gate fixings?

Pics show the boundary wall (with our house on the right) and their junk, etc taken from our flat roof at the back.

Propane cylinders stored in a neighbour's garden were noticed by a councillor and as a result he was asked to remove them or create a safe storage area for them.

technically probably yes, but the reality is it's not doing any damage to your property.

People ask me for a spare pound, but that does not mean that I have to do as they say.

What happens if the neighbour wants to do more than 40 hours of gardening? Does he need to opt out of the Working Time Directive?

If I was them, I'd then insist on you moving the flue which sits illegally astride the boundary and pumping obnoxious gasses into my landing window.
