Brass cover plate/hatch for floor

I finally managed to get the stop tap uncovered; it had ply screwed down, and they'd tiled over it all...

I can probably get the tiles back together, but I think a brass plate with a recessed ring pull would be better.

Does anyone know of a firm that can knock these up, or can recommend places to look?

what size is it?

I've had sheet metal cut to order, but I think yours needs to be quite thick to withstand foot traffic.

Or you could put brass over a ply panel.

Hi John,

It's 170x330, so not too large. I'm not opposed to putting it over ply; is just like something that's aesthetically pleasing and practical.

It's 1900 house, so I'm trying to stay in-keeping.

A sign makes would be able to supply they make plaques etc of all sizes.
