When it comes to giving a sworn deposition, Trump will bail. His presidency will likely be over by then. Whether Murdoch will counter sue is another matter. I do hope so.
Mudoch has the means to draw it out. Trump has to grift. Murdoch is big league, Trump is phony league. It makes a big difference with litigation. Trump lives in fear of the truth, so expect a sudden withdrawal of the complaint, should the need for the fat orange rapist to tell the truth under oath, ever arrive.

Trump just happens to be a billionaire and is the President of the United States, making him the most powerful man in the world. You really do say some stupid things.
It is really unclear what Murdoch's strategy is regarding Trump.
On the one hand, he owns the WSJ which has published this article. But he also owns Fox News, which is Trump's biggest supporter and whose top rated shows are basically avoiding any coverage of the Epstein files.
Obviously, Murdoch is many times smarter than Trump. So, presumably he has a plan.
Trump is not in the same league as Musk, Murdoch and the like. He had to grift for money the last time he was up in front of a judge. The bloke is a phony.
Temporary position. He will be as vulnerable as the next US citizen in a few years time and Murdoch knows it. Old Rupert will tear him a new one in court and many can not wait.
It's going to be a big fall from grace, that's for sure.
Both things can be true. Trump was a phony billionaire failed businessman on the verge of bankruptcy until he got a gig on reality TV. But he also has amazing abilities to promote himself. All the way to being President! As I have said several times before, we are living through some very strange times.

The other TV companies backed down and settled when he sued them even though they would have won. Rupert isn’t running scared and sees the opportunity to damage the MAGA brand and get a business along the way for his news outlets.
It’s not just about money and political power. Trumpf may be a lion but Murdock is a hyena who has sensed weakness and smells blood. It may go nowhere but you have to admire Rupe’s opportunism
