I need to cut an internal wall. A grinder is out of the question for obvious reasons, and a hammer and bolster is likely to cause damage to adjacent plasterwork which I need to avoid.

So I am looking at a tungsten tipped blade for an all purpose saw. Like this one from Bosch

I only need to do one 2m vertical cut in what seems to be London commons

Has anyone used this type of blade, and can comment if it is any good for brick cutting?

stitch drill the cut first then bolster it. less collateral damage.

if you can locate the perps then you will only need to stitch drill every other.

provided they are inline.

Thats what I was going to do, but I did want to avoid any banging if possible.

The cut will be on alternate perps, but the closeness to an corner which is in another room, means that if the plaster blows, then there is a big additional redocorating job for someone  :(

 if the uppermost courses can be sympathetically removed then you can bolster downwards as opposed to inwards.
