So,
for things like cutting out a door in a partition wall (inclduing timbers), cutting plastic piping in-situ etc, floorboards in-situ, that kind of stuff really.

Was looking at the B&D Scorpion

or the Bosch PFZ 500

Or just corded recip saw (can't afford cordless)

The ability to cut metal would be could so a mulkti-function blade i guess?
Thanks for any advice offered

edit: weird. When i searched for 'scorpion' it didn't find owt, so i started this thread, now it finds other threads with it in.... sheesh!

Personnally I'd go for a corded reciprocating saw which I find a versatile tool. Blades are universal so you're not limited to one manufacturer and are small enough to fit in confined spaces when stripping out , although they're not really very good for accurate cuts.

Thanks,
i actually went for the B&D Skorpion, and to be fair it was perfect for the job. Accurate and quick. Accidentally sheared through some nails too, but didn't seem to halt progress.
Worth the £50 anyway.

hmmm , you would have been better taking note of what ladylola said - just wait until you have to buy blades for it
