Hi all,
We will be building a part first floor rear extension and I want the bricks used to be as close a match as possible to those on the main house. The bricks had been covered with render/ Tyrolean, so we have had it sanded off as you can see from the photos. Some of the bricks have a reddish tinge, so not all typical London yellow stocks?
Any ideas what they are? (we are based in east London and the house is approx. from 1910).
I've been also been told that maybe brick tinting is the way forward? And that if we do that the bricks need to be the same texture, but the colour doesn't need to be that close as the tinting will obviously change their look?
Any thoughts? Obviously if too expensive I will just have to go for something close but not a match
Thanks in again in advance
