Defining who are terrorists and who are Freedom fighters is a purley politically subjective decision.
To a Palestinian Hamas was probably regarded as Freedom Fighters. They were after all lsurving under an apartheid system, with Israel totally controlling and denying many human rights to Palestinians that we take for granted. e.g. freedom of association.
In addition there were numerous incidents in the West Bank of Palestinians being evicted and dispossessed of their land. Some Palestiniins dying for it, with no justice for the crimes.
