Britony Combi 100 no ignition

Please help!!!

1) Boiler make / model (gas or oil)
Britony Combi 100

2) What is / is not happening
when switching either the central heating or hot water on there sounds like a helicopter starting up inside the boiler (albeit a quietish one!). Then the red 'anti' pilot light lights up and everything stops

3) Has ANYTHING else been done / changed recently
The other half kindly bled the radiator a couple of days ago... managed to fix the low pressure problem thanks to plenty of helpful posts on here, but now the pilot light issue has arisen and can't find an answer... hence the post.

4) When did it (problem) start
2 days ago and it's bleedin freezin!!!

5) When does it happen? eg, heating coming on or going off
When you try to get either heating or hot water.

6) Anything else you feel may be of relevance
As I said above, initial problem was a low pressure (i.e. 0 bar) one, managed to fix that, (now up to 1.5bar when the systems off).

I downloaded the britony combi user manual from the web, but it's no help at all....

I'm not much good at DIY, but am willing to give it all a go

Aircraft noises are caused by overheating of the main heat exchanger due to restricted circulation. So what is causing restricted circulation affecting both CH and DHW? Probably something in common pipework (like debris in heat exchanger) but nevertheless check the CH return filter.
