Broag Rameha Avanta 28c codes

Broad Rameha Avanta 28c. I have the above boiler, just 5 years old and out of guarantee. Code E13 has been occuring quite a bit. according to the engeneers it seems like a new heat exchanger. I would like a second opinion from someone familiar with this boiler before spending a load of money. Perhaps a new boiler is the answer. Thanks.javascript:emoticon('')

It is most likely that the Heat Exchanger will need to be replaced as the embedded heat sensor cannot be replaced in isolation. it would be worth looking at the strainer built into the hydroblock as this can restrict water flow through the HEX a causes overheat problems usually during a Hot water demand

Thanks a lot for a quick reply. I shall pass this one to my engineer and see if that cures the problem. It does seem to happen mostly when the heating is on and the hot water tap is used. i shall report back.
