Good job done. Looks like you've replaced bottom section of original cast, I'd check security of any remaining cast above that. As you probably know, it's damned heavy, and often relies on the section below to take a lot of the weight, the 'ears' are just keeping it in position! 
yeah, we replaced the cast - in actual fact only the bottom maybe meter was cast, the rest was plastic so it's now all nice plastic, with an access point
