hi, i have 3 broken stair treads, all corner stairs, they are the top 3 together, you cant get under the stairs to fix them. i did call someone who was advertising in the local paper a a carpenter, but tbh i had zero faith in him, he looked more confused that i am!!
he told me that they cant get taken out to get fixed, so i will have to put another piece of wood ontop of the existing broken tread.. is that even safe?
any ideas on the best way to try to fix it?

If the tread can not be removed or access is not available, for tread to be eitheir repaired or replaced.
It is normal procedure to install a new tread above the broken one.
