Guys

The wording in 16th Ed is a little ambiguous for me and I'm getting confuse between BS nubers and descriptions

Can someone please clarify for me
Modern consumer unit is BS60439-3 but what BS is the old Wyles Fuse Box?
The MCBs are BSEN 60898 but does this also aply to plug ins?
Is BS3036 correct for the old re-wireables?

Thanks

BS 5486 (The main switch is BS 5419)

It depends. Older two buttoned type plug in MCBs will normally be BS 3871, and the lever type will generally be BSEN 60898, but there are some lever type which are BS 3871.

Its best to check each breaker individually. Their BS no. will be written on the side.

Yep.
