BTU/hour

They are both giving the same information in different format. but 1000 BTUs is not 1000 watts if that is what you're asking.
If you look up stelrad radiators they quote the output in both formats

Just done a quick Google as I had lost my conversion factors. Needed to work something out myself....

watts x 3.414 = btu
btu x 0.293 = watts

If im correct your rad will have output of 1590 btu.
