Bucket fed pressure washer

Hi all,

I've just bought a Karcher K3 pressure washer. I don't have a water connection but read online from multiple sources that I can buy a suction hose and draw from a bucket.

The Karcher helpline people say that the washer needs to be gravity fed (hence I need to put the bucket in an elevated spot) but other sources online say it's not needed so I'm a little confused now. Does anyone have experience with this? I haven't opened the box yet in case I have to return it.

Thank you very much @freddiemercurystwin. Just to confirm that my understanding is correct, I need to make sure that the hose is filled with water before I connect it to the machine?
