Building a fence for the first time

Can anyone give me any tips on building a fence, its going to be about 0.9m high. here are my rough plans for it



The width of the gate is approximate and may be slightly larger or smaller.

should I set the vertical supports in concrete or can I use those spikes that go into the ground?
