Hello All,

I am building a brick wall, and have a question regarding frost.
Its still around 8 degrees C during the day, but we are starting to get the odd frost overnight.
Whats the general rule of covering brickwork, i.e, how many hours does fresh brickwork need behind it to not require covering overnight?

Thanks, Alex.

if it's cold enough to freeze, zero or lower then wisdom suggests you cover the wall. even the brick courses laid in the morning can have their pointing spalled by a severe frost.

hessian sacking sold by the roll is ideal.

i always find bubble wrap works quite well! You can buy a hoffing great roll of it for about a tenner from most stationary online stores!
