Hi, I'm thinking of having a study / hall extension built at the front of our home 25sqm. I have spoken to the local planning department they are ok with the idea (due to the fact that we are such a long way from the road) but my concern is the front of the house slopes away approx 1:5 metre for the first 5m after that the slope increases to 1:3 m. We wanted to extend out approx 5m. In situations like this what happens to the foundations? what are the options.
