Have dug out the wall and have the shower valve in place and all

pipework connected apart from the pipe that feeds the shower head.

The elbow that goes on the wall for the shower hose to attach to doesn't

have any method of attaching to the wall . It is a one piece elbow with

approx 50mm of thread which the 15mm feed will connect to but no other

fittings to fix to the wall.

Help !!!

need more info what shower? but it sounds like you need a rigid pipe (normally chrome) on clips to support the elbow.

no point in it being chrome.

The pipe will be in the wall behind tiles

It sounds like you have one of these :

That has a male 1/2" BSP on one end.
That will fit onto one of these :

A wall plate elbow, which has female 1/2" BSP, a 15mm compression fitting and a mounting plate.
Make sure you use PTFE tape on the thread, and pack it out with a fibre washer if necessary.
Fix the wall plate elbow the back of the chase (the channel you will have dug in the wall).
If the chrome elbow won't reach the wall plate elbow, use a thread extender - that's basically a female 1/2" BSP on one end, and a male on the other.

Good luck
