Built under oven and elec hob replacing freestanding cooker

I have only just noticed BAS's post.

The link to cable does not show any 4mm² which, if not used, would mean different wiring arrangements.
TBH I did not follow any of the links.

The stuff is made - surely somebody sells it?

Plan B - check with UK cable makers/wholesalers, Prysimian, BATT, Nexans etc - if they make it see if they can help you move along the supply chain until you reach someone selling it by the m.

But for a standard hob do you really consider that nessecary?

You could contact the people you bought it from and say that (yes you have consulted a qualified electrician) unless they can tell you where you can buy the cable the maker specifies you'll reject the hob as being not of merchantable quality.

So last question I promise!

Do I have to fit a double wall plate or can I just wire both wires into the existing if I can make it fit ok
