I want to by something like 25x50mm battons to be used on the walls which the insulation boards will be screwed too. The only place I can think it get it is travis perkins for example.

The problem is its outside and soaking wet, surely I cant put this behind the insulation?

What do people do to get round this or how long does it take to dry out?

air dry it for a month coverd over or at least 3 weeks in the room to be used with battons spacing the bits at least 6mm apart and 2" off the ground

or ask for untreated then it will be stored inside

Shop around, find somewhere that keeps their timber inside. Will almost certainly be cheaper too!
I wouldn't use untreated as you might get damp penetrating the wall behind the insulation.

yep if its exterior wall then definatly treated
i had read as sound insulation so internal

Cheers, its external walls. Upgrading with 50mm of celotex boards/vapour barrier then plasterboard.

I found tonight that homebase have there wood inside so will probably get it there rather than waiting weeks for it to dry.

Good call about using the treated stuff.
