Cable Clips - the more the better?

Many more clips and it'd become a different installation method.
What sort of cable is it? Can't make out what's going on below the phone socket.

I'm going to take a guess at TV coax, based on the shape and size, and the fact that this seems to be the entry point for the hone line and cable TV wiring.
Probably a DIY effort to feed a bedroom TV from the main cable box....?
