Cable size for load side of fused Spur

Okay things change(post is 10 years old), but looking for advice as the sparky left a 3A fused spur with flex 75mm for the alarm unit and the flex is on show.
Is this okay, or should it not be done in flex?
Wall the spur is on is a solid one, so I can chase it out or put it in some form of trunking along the corner of the room?.
been looking around and pretty much everything online is ancient regarding advice on this one. Can anyone update with current status quo?
