I've just read the post on flex and I wondered if anyone here has started using flex for fixed wiring?

We did a small project in Holland and the sparks used flex in PVC conduit. This guy first fixed the tube but stopped it about 50mm from the corners I assumed the guy didn't have any bends so he was going to fit them later.

Wrong - he just brought the flex out of each straight section, ran it around the corner and then back into the next straight section.

I'm lead to belive that because they don't use singles that's the normal way of wiring conduit in Europe?

Yeah. Most mainland euro wiring I've seen has been broken flexi conduit wired in flex.

Im trying very hard to think what the advantages would be in re-wiring a house using flex as they do in europe but a part from possibly being a bit easier to pull in I can't think of any.
