is there a site where i can calculate the amount of materials ( bricks, breeze blocks etc ) needed to build a shed of a certain size?

If you have a drawing take it into your local builders merchants and they will calculate your materials for free if you purchase from them, other than that 4" breeze blocks are 10 to a square metre, doule that for internal and external if a cavity wall and 56 standard bricks to a sq mtr, post the dimensions and I could give you further quantities if that would help.

thanks 'legs'..will have to work out square meterage, as there's quite a lot of door/window area.

Remember to leave a contingency: If you have 10 square metres, you will almost certainly use more than 560 bricks. The more doors and windows you cut around, the more bricks you will effectively "waste" as you will end up with lots of little bits cut off that aren't any good for laying elsewhere.
