I have a external Honeywell dome camera of a few years vintage on the side of my house, the dome has a BNC output it was connected to a tv via a BNC to Scart patch lead into the tv scart socket and it operated well.

I have replaced the tv with a modern led 27" a Samsung 27h390s and like most up to date sets it has no scart input, it does have a component input which comprises of three separate phono sockets, yellow blue and red, can I feed the dome to just the yellow or do I require some type of adaptor.

Assuming that it is bog standard component analogue, the other connections provide difference information, from which the full image can be calculated

One is luma, the other two are the difference between luma and blue or red
Cramming all the info into composite (hence the name) results in compromises
