Just checked up how many weeks we have been away in the campervan this year, and it totals 11 weeks, still got loadsa time to get away, my mate next door now calls me pykie.

Lets put it this way Joe90, i graft hard all week to earn the money that allows me to tour this country in my camper and see all the things of interest it has to offer, things that you will never see.

What sort of van do you have and where did your latest outing take you?

This is the third camper that we have bought, part exchanging to a better one, all three of our vans have been Volkswagon based, I find that the resale value is the best.
The one we have now is a 2 berth compass calypso coach built VW 2.5 turbo diesel, mint condition inside and out we have had it for 3 years.
I like the freedom of the open road and the ability to go where you want whenever you want.

last week we had four days down Burton on Trent at the inland Waterways festival, beautiful weather, superb site lots to see and do.
I've had times in a camper van although I'm more under canvas nowadays. I've also had holidays in hotels but nothing beats the early morning in a field with a mug of tea in your hand watching the other tents appearing out of the mist,

Take your campervan to Switzerland, much better than touring blighty.
Me and the missus did it in a converted landrover on our way south a couple of times now.
Drive to Geneva , swing a left through the Alps over to Italy, down through the dolomites and on to Venice.
Loads to see and do on the way and Venice is nice to stay for a few days to re-charge the old batteries.
We will be doing it again this winter on our way to Greece but staying in hotels instead of camping.
Edit - another good drive is the coastal road to Barcelona but it's been many years from when I last drove it.

I love it mate, it's the only way to travel.
Hopefully we will get back out there more as our wee girl gets older but I tend to get adventurous about these things, wonder how old she needs to be before we can travel the road of bones?
