Been up the scaffold today - photos of the guttering level below.
It’s already pooling water.
Oh dear, that is terrible - the whole job needs to be started again. The sheer weight of water will eventually rip that gutter down.
Tradesman is asking to settle the bill and I’m concerned if I do so that there will be no incentive to correct these mistakes during the time frame that my scaffold is paid for.
Don't settle - he is no tradesman. By the looks of that work, he has never, ever installed gutters, fascias, and soffits in his life before, he is a chancer. That work is shockingly poor work, the guy fitting it hadn't a clue how to lay it out, how to plan it, how to operate a tape measure, or how to install it.
In your photo 2754, the soffit is not fitted with the plastic U channel, along the wall, the soffit is not even pulled down to rest on the lip of the fascia.
The work he has done, suggests he is not even capable of rectifying his work.
For comparison....
I am not a gutter, fascia, soffit installer, never done anything like it before, but I did mine, working from ladders, all done, front and back in a week, on my semi. Tradesmen, had been engaged to do next doors, some time before, and messed up our gutters in the process. What I did, was a much better result than what was done next door.
