Hi,
The DHW sensor needs replacing on my Glow worm 24c boiler - I have got the part and can see where it needs to be replaced (unscrewed and then new one screwed in) - however - is it connected to the gas? - the part that it unscrews from is gold coloured and I have always thought that meant it was for gas? advice please...

Not connected to gas but I think it's not just as simple as unscre old and screw in new ....

Do you have a washer for it to seal when you put it in ? , because brass on brass doesn't seal very good

Yes. I have a washer with it...

I'm not totally familiar with this boiler , but u need to shut off the inlet cold .... Or mains , open up hot taps , unscrew old ntc , screw in new one , don't over tighten it , turn water on , then hey ho

Brill! - thank you very much - I will try that in the morning when the boiler is cool!

plan. I like it. I will get my youngest to do it. She is 9. I cannot see any drawbacks to this...

hi, I have done this and it went fine - thank you - sadly still no hot water without running a cold tap somewhere else - it fires up but goes cold - it is like there is too much cold in the system? advice?
