Can I combine sensor with switch to turn on lights?

Across 3 floors there are 5 ceiling lights covering the landing and stairs, no natural light.

Currently, the wall light switches turn on all 5 lights and switch off after a minute or 2.

If I correctly wire in a PIR/microwave sensor to any particular light fitting so that a particular ceiling light switches on at detection, can that work in combination to the existing manual wall switch lighting?
You can obtain LED Light "globes" which contain a "motion sensor" - (probably PIR)
(If used "outside", they turn on only ay night when a person is within "range".)

To use these in all locations you would need to replace the 2 minute "Time Switch" with a "normal" ON/OFF switch.

These LEDs certainly work when the "business end" of the "bulb" can be seen (so it can "see" you.)

I am not sure if they would work in an enclosed fitting,
but
most LEDs should not be installed in an enclosed fitting.

unsafe? what regulations are you saying are being breached to classify it as an unsafe house?
The bl****n obvious common sense regulation which says that using stairs in total darkness, being plunged into total darkness whilst halfway up/down a flight of stairs, is unsafe.

If all you care about is the letter of regulations, and possess not a scrap of common sense, then you have no business doing whatever it is you're doing.

Whatever it is, it isn't his house:

@ahlondon - are you an electrician?
And very much why my #10 now looks like this
Now that I know more about the situation and the limitations of your electrical abilities and the rental status.

My advice now has changed to "Let your Electrical contractor design, install and certify the solution"
and not the lovely drawing I wasted my time on
