You can obtain LED Light "globes" which contain a "motion sensor" - (probably PIR)Across 3 floors there are 5 ceiling lights covering the landing and stairs, no natural light.
Currently, the wall light switches turn on all 5 lights and switch off after a minute or 2.
If I correctly wire in a PIR/microwave sensor to any particular light fitting so that a particular ceiling light switches on at detection, can that work in combination to the existing manual wall switch lighting?
(If used "outside", they turn on only ay night when a person is within "range".)
To use these in all locations you would need to replace the 2 minute "Time Switch" with a "normal" ON/OFF switch.
These LEDs certainly work when the "business end" of the "bulb" can be seen (so it can "see" you.)
I am not sure if they would work in an enclosed fitting,
but
most LEDs should not be installed in an enclosed fitting.
