My bookshelf/cabinet project is fully drawn up.

Can I take a material list down to my local wood shop (Howarth) and ask them to cut the material to the exact sizes I want to build the carcass and shelves?

It is a simple kitchen style carcass & shelves in 18mm MDF.

Will they also cut the notches for the baseboards or do they only strip?

Thanks

joiners shop will take on your requirement but your talking 2 or 3 times the cost off a ready made carcass

you can take it to a b&q with a panel saw and pay 50p a cut

but remember where componants join you loose 18mm or 36mm from one measurement

correction from 12 /25 to 18/36

Buy an 8x4 sheet and cut everything yourself.
That way you will be building it yourself rather than simply assembleing something, ikea flatpack style!
That said most merchants will be able to cut as you require but it takes al the fun out of it. :)
