Well, it *should* be in the O&Ms, but they're rarely very accurate.

Ain't that the truth!

Big New Hospital Project

Planners and specifiers

"This project will be constructed with full BIM according to government standards. All subcontractors must cooperate to ensure their services are 3D coordinated and installed according to the federated model"

Reality On site:-

Sub-contractor supervisor:- "We can't install our service where drawn because a.n.other has blocked our route"
Main contractors project manager:- "will it fit over there? yes? do that then........."

Or even better, having the services we are contracted to install completely missed off the model by the MEP coordinators - red faces all round.

Accurate as-fitteds in a domestic? :LOL::LOL::LOL:

Grenfell Tower... no one knows where the gas isolating valves are...

I know a plumber subcontracted to the service provider (Transco?), when I last spoke to him back in February of this year, they still had no idea where the isolating valves are.

If it's been built recently you should have been given a health and safety file with this sort of information. Its covered under the CDM regs. Well that's how the regs are meant to work!

Lol. Meanwhile back in the world of domestic home-building...

As Woody said - just look at sockets, switches and consumer unit and work it out.

We make a point to photograph chases, pre-plaster (electric, plumbing) particularly in kitchen zones etc.
