Can I put hot cold pipes in exterior wall

I’m hoping to move my sink hot cold pipes into an exterior wall. They’re currently coming up through the floor but we’d like a floating vanity so the pipes need to be routed into the wall.

Is putting these pipes through an exterior wall a bad idea? I’m using plastic pipes.

You just need to be careful about condensation if they will be in a plain plastered wall with nothing covering it.

They’ll be in a plastered wall which will be tiled over.

But if you plan to tile over the plaster that will cover the pipes, they will be pretty much inaccessible. Why not use copper pipes with soldered joints?

I’m planning on having an access hatch to get access to the pipes. The rest of the house is plastic pipes so thought I may as well use the same.

Plastic is fine, as long as accessible. Sounds ok.

Surely some pipes can't be accessible and are usually run behind plasterboard.

Water regs require hot and cold pipework not to be in "any other position which is inaccessible or renders access difficult".

Heating pipes aren't covered by this.

I might be reading this incorrectly... Are you talking about joints, or in general? Copper and plastic, or just plastic.

In general, "water fittings" cover anything carrying water.

It's all about access and so that leaks through time don't go unseen. They should be reasonably accessible.
