CAN I RUN A TELEVISION FROM A CEILING LIGHT ROSE

Arrrrrrr. I have a socket in the gararge. I could drill through the garage ceiling, come up through my warddrobe, into the loft and back down into my bedroom. Wala. Will that work? What wiring will i need?

Fumes from car, petrol fumes, fire and smoke from burning car would come up through the hole into the bedroom.

Thats why the ceiling of the garage is fire proofed ( or should be ).

where exactly in the west midlands?

if it's anywhere near stourbridge then I can come round and advise you for free..

I have a pull cord switch in the bathroom that operates the shower. Could I take my feed from that?

NO, NO, AND THRICE, NO!

The answer, by the way, is no.
Assuming it has the spare capacity I don't see why you couldn't put a small CU in the loft turning part of the shower circuit into a submain supplying the now much shorter shower circuit and a circuit for your TV.

True but provided the location in the loft is sensible it shouldn't be much more of a pain than a CU at the back of a cupboard or similar.

If it was a lighting circuit's breaker I would agree with you but I don't see breakers on a dedicated shower circuit or a dedicated TV circuit tripping unless there is a fault.
