For safety sake, please do post any questions. I'd rather answer your questions (no matter how silly I think they might be) than you riding shotgun, not being sure of yourself and potentially hurting yourself.
Since you have now found a suitable socket it appears there is light at the end of the posting tunnel.
A suggestion......
If you are unsure about the work, why not buy an extension lead take the plug off and have the extension lead mounted on the TV wall- feed the extension cable end through the hole in the wall and simply re-terminate the plug, and hey presto.
Although this isn't ideal- it is safe, it isnt illegal and will get you 240v where you require it with the absolute minimum of skill and effort.
