Can i take the front cover off the accenta keypad without sounding the alarm?

Hi, I have an accenta alarm, i was wanting to take the cover off the front of the keypad but wasn't sure if it would go into tamper and set the alarm off?

i have the same keypad pictured below.

The onky reason i want to do this is to put something over the speaker for the keypad so it lowers the sound of the beeps.

No if keypad has been wired correctly .
Open keypad enter code to silence
Put small piece of blue tack over piezo
Put keypad back together and reset system.
Job done.

Do you mean on the actually keypad? My alarm panel doesn't have any buttons on it.

If you mean on the keypad how do you do it please?

Long time since I’ve had to look an accent a bit from memories... connect keypad back up....open up main panel... enter code to silence.
There should be a volume pot on the main PCB that you can adjust?
Once done close main panel lid then press reset on the keypad.
Hope this helps.... check panel battery at the same time as this may need replaced?
