Removed loose trim from around uPVC door & a little bit of skirting board too.

Obviously has/had issues with damp/mould here. I can feel it's cold in both gaps.

In the gap next to the door you can see what looks like a membrane of some sort, is that part of the the dpc?

The small bit of skirting didn't look/feel like it had any damp issues but the plaster above it was soft. Is there a way of finding out one way or another? Many thanks

You can use foam there but bear in mind most foam isnt waterproof. The close up photos don't help us with a location etc. We have no context as to the surroundings to be able to be able to comment on damp

OK, definetly foam up that entire gap top to bottom. Use gun grade foam rather than a can , as those cans don't offer any 'speed/volume' control and ot can go everywhere! Then retrim.
I'd also be checking the outside for any potential area for water to penetrate but to suspect it was condensation from there being no foam/insulation around the door

I already learnt my lesson with expanding foam, so have the gun already.

Can't see anything on the outside. Cheers for your help.

You can get waterproof closed cell PU expanding foam, i have some gun grade soudal stuff in the van, +1 for the foam gun too, much better control
