Can builders use a domestic hosepipe to carry out their building work (e.g. mixing concrete in a mixer)?

The concept is that you don't use [waste] lots of water via a hosepipe

So its not the use of the hosepipe which is banned, but what you do with the water coming out of the end

So using a hosepipe to put 1/2 a bucket of water into a mixer is not really something which the authorities are concerned about

Its mainly washing cars and watering the garden. As woody said, using a hosepipe to wash your car uses loads of water compared to the old 2 bucket wash.

Builders will be alright, car wash people (whos actual job is washing cars).

They are stopping people wasting water, not banning the use of it all together,
