Can anyone help, fitted a new rad for customer with an old vaillant( not sure of model ). Drained down, fitted rad, refilled and wont ignite. Fan working, pump working(no air have bled), external controls calling for heat.

You may have an OLD VCW 242 combi comact -green and red rocker switches on the front. If this is the case check the AAV top right top of boiler (Power off as 240 v present on APS) is open. then keep switching the boiler on and off and it may clear the air lock in the heat exchanger.
