Hi all and thanks in advance for any advice. I have a 2007 ford fiesta Mk6 that's done 171,000 miles. It seems to have a bit of an oil leak as finding small patches under it when parked. Unfortunately the cable that pops the bonnet seems to have broken as the handle that pulls it does nothing and I can't feel any kind of resistance from it when pulled. I'm figuring that the easiest solution is to drill into it somehow but I am hoping for a bit of advice on where exactly to do this. I have no care for any aesthetic consequences for the car, just want to get under the bonnet.

Very common on the mk5 and 6......see if you can find the end of the cable where it connects into the plastic pull lever. If you can, give it a tug with some heavy pliers.
It could help if someone presses the bonnet down when you try this!
Be lucky
John :)

Thanks John; I got my girlfriend to pull the lever while I bounced on the bonnet and it worked! Very relieved to not have to be drilling random holes into the bonnet :).
