Capping tap pipes

Hi

Going to be ripping out the current ensuite shortly. My question is, once I remove the current basin, how do I cap the pipes for taps so I can turn the water back on?

Will these work given the pipes have tap ends on with a nut on which screws onto the tap?

no , just the easiest one, you could cut the pipes and do what nige f said or use half inch male iron plugs.

What are these? Could I get a compression stop end of the correct size and just use end cap and screw the nut from the pipe onto that?

Yes that would probably be ok if the existing nut screwed directly on to the tap without an adapter in between.

Do I only use the end cap though? Use the nut already on the pipe tap end and screw the end cap onto the existing nut??

Yes. only want to cap the pipes whilst decorating and until I fit the new basin.
