Yeah but you'll probably find the cheaper quote doesn't include a courtesy car or has windscreen cover, best go with the dear one to be sure!

Strange thing was that the cheaper one had winscreen and courtesy car included and £200 excess. The expensive one had no windscreen cover nor courtesy car and excess £300 and cost more than the car was worth.

That's the sort of thing 'Watchdog' and 'Which?' magazine would be interested in.

I must confess, I'm interested too. Which company offered the 5 grand premium?

yeah but dont forget, with the expensive 1 you get your very own claims advisor, who is on about 1k a week.

OK, that will pay for him for about 5 weeks. What happens after that?!

For £174, this must be your car

Insurance companies quote high when they're not interested in doing business with an individual. Perhaps simply because the customer doesn't fall into the age range the company is targeting.

That way the customer doesn't have to declare that they have been declined insurance.
