Just a quick request...

Tell me what this reminds you of and guess who designed it.

If you happen to know, please desist!

Thanks due to you-know who of you know what's website....!!

Spotter !!!

(or tineye, see how the number plate has been messed with..... )

Interesting that - if you look at the rear quarter and front grille, there's a strong resemblance to the Fiat 127......the wheels are certainly BL though.
John :)

I take the point about the 127, but studying the front reminds me of a viva.

If you look long enough though I'm sure it would remind of several other cars from that period. It even looks alittle like the early polo from the side.

It's certainly a long way from any other BL designs.

At a very caual glance I would have thought it was Eastern European, something like a Zastava. You can see the same rear quarter profile of the Maxi, but I didn't realise that sculpted in door pull was of that era.
John :)

Sorry, can't see the maxi - Funnily enough I passed an old maxi last night and it didn't look anything like this design.

I think that the old Peugeot 204 had the sculpted in door handles and they were 70s.

Looks a bit like the original rollerska... sorry, Fiesta.

Does anybody remember 1974, when the Austin Allegro and the VW Golf both came out? The previous Austin/Morris 1100/1300 should have morphed into the Golf, not the Allegro.
