You do realise that The US buys more from us than we buy from them? You also realise that it's the other way around with trade between The UK and The EU - there's a trade defecit?

IT was obviously one of the big guys who decided he could ride roughshod over the smaller contractors, and get them to support his cashflow. There have been a lot of discussions in parliment to try and stop this, but I suspect the likes of Carillion have stoped them enacting legislation.

But if the likes of Carillion and Wimpy can't run their businesses properly, then they're going to dump the problem further down the line.

120 days is common place in the US and is spreading over here, like litigation etc etc.

long payment terms are a way of using suppliers to bankroll their business.

In case the Trumps empire, he doesnt bother paying contractors at all.

Well done Boris and others. Pi$s off someone who went on to become the leader of a country we need for trade, especially now we're looking for post-brexit trade deals. But then, that's the quality of the people we have 'running' this country. Not one leader between them.
