Carpet Burn

I've accidently lefted a hair dryer on the carpet for few seconds and now the carpet turns hard and the colour is darker, how do I fix it?

sounds like you have a synthetic carpet and have melted it. If it has not melted all the way down the pile you can cut the melted blobs off with nail scissors.

Or buy a new one.

It's melted abit but I don't want to replace it as it's the living room carpet and will cost abit

If its a pretty new carpet you can chop a bit out and replace it assuming you kept some spare .....

The melted patch is in the living room and the patch is darker than the rest of the carpet making it look bad
