Cats - How can I stop them using my garden as a public loo

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned orange peel, my cat hates it....

But, the absolute uber-cat-deterrant is lion dung, yes, lion dung, as supplied by friendly zookeepers safari park rangers etc.

ive never used it myself (lol) but i have heard that it will clear cats away to about a quarter mile

It's not illegal to put traps down for mice. If your cat sticks its nose in - tough. It's its nature.

my mate got a catapult off ebay - works a treat - one large ball bearing on the cats body did the trick, it hasn't ever been back in his garden. never seen a cat move (hobble) so quick!!

dont know if this has been mentioned but in a sort of contradiction the best way to stop cats shattin is to have a cat of your OWN! your cat will terrotorialize your property and detter other cats from dijjery...dooin
