Hi all, newbie here - trying to get some research for my OU project.

I'm interested in finding out whether people prefer to use the rigid or flexible type of cavity closer, and why?

All views and comments gratefully received :)

If by flexible you mean Damcor's and the like they are rubbish unless the bricky is very concientious and uses a saw to cut the blocks, a bad installation can leave issues with damp problems and cold bridging. In any case they're no longer acceptable by many (if not all?) local authorities for these reasons and a good thing too.

I've not seen flexible closers used for a few years now. Rigid ones are clean, easy to use, fast, efficient and cheap.
