CCTV recommendation

Hi lads after installing my first intruder alarm.. I am now looking into cctv set up as few break ins recently with vans etc around my area.

Are the kits from screw fix any good with all the cables pre wired etc..

Heard hikvision is good

Ok cheers mate any type? What mega pixel is suitable these days.. I want one where I can look on my phone and get notifications

you need to decide what you want it cover and if you want to either see someone or identify them.

the field of view and the cameras resolution need to be taken into account to work out a pixel density.

how far is it from the home you need to view, ie distance from house to vehicle and how wide is that area. ipvm's calculator can be used to get a very good idea of resolution and coverage of a particular model along with generic data.
