I am replacing a light fitting and stupidly forgot to take note of how the ceiling rose is wired.
This is an upstairs landing light, which is controlled from a single upstairs switch and a double downstairs switch. The other side of the downstairs switch controls a downstairs light, which is also controlled by an additional single switch on the other side of the room.
The upstairs ceiling rose has two red, two black and two earth connections. I haven't touched the switches at all, but can't figure out the correct wiring for the upstairs ceiling rose. I've tried various combinations, some of which led to the downstairs light only working if the downstairs switch for the upstairs light was in a certain position.
Really hoping this is making sense!
Can any one give me any advice with this? Please do ask for more info if you need it.
